The Judy Quilt - Wonderful World Version
Have you seen Sarah Jane's new Wonderful World fabric collection? It is adorable. I have been a huge Sarah Jane fan since I started quilting (see here, here, here, and here). I saw Wonderful World and promptly designed the Judy Quilt Pattern just so I had the perfect pattern to make with it.
The message of this collection is so sweet and so needed right now - be the good. I loved being able to fussy cut the messages from the panel and some of the sweet scenes from the prints.
This collection also inspired the name of the pattern - Judy is the name of my 4th grade teacher. When I was in 4th grade, there was a girl in my class named Cindy. I didn't have any idea what was going on with her at the time, but looking back I can imagine things weren't great for her at home.
One time, the school was having a raffle for a new bike. My teacher bought a whole bunch of tickets in Cindy's name and Cindy ended up winning the bike. She cried and cried because she was so excited. It is one of my most tender memories from elementary school and I loved that sweet teacher.
If you would like to make a version of the quilt just like mine, I did a little fabric guide for this collection so you know how much fabric you would need from each print. You can download that for free here.
If you would like to pick up a copy of the pattern, you can find it in the shop!
