Pattern of the Week - The Birdie Quilt
This week I was putting together some mockups for a fabric manufacturer and they requested some using the Birdie Quilt Pattern, which reminded me how much I enjoy playing with color and fabric placement in this design.
The Birdie Quilt can be made two different ways. You can use yardage to make a more limited color palette, or you can use a jelly roll or scraps to really let things get a little wild. I did some mockups both ways so you can get an idea of what works well with the pattern.
One of my favorite things about the Birdie Quilt is that it works well with so many different fabric styles. Solids give it a cleaner, more graphic look, while prints make everything feel softer and a little more playful. And scrappy versions? Always good.
