The Linda Quilt Pattern — Updated and Better Than Ever!
The new, updated Linda Quilt Pattern is here and available as a printed pattern for the first time.
This was one of my very first quilt patterns. It’s a modern, large scale plaid pattern that works particularly well with solids and small scale basics collections and it is GORGEOUS as a bed quilt.
If you have purchased the pattern before, you should have received an email with the updated download. If you didn't, just email me and I can make sure you get a PDF copy.
What’s New in the Updated Pattern
This updated version includes more size options and improved fabric efficiency, so you can get more out of your fabric (and your time).
The pattern now includes:
- Baby
- Lap
- Twin
- Queen
- King sizes
I also made some adjustments to how the quilt is constructed so it comes together more smoothly — especially when it comes to cutting and assembling the blocks.
I know some of you are feeling a little bit intimidated about picking colors for this quilt. Don't stress! Later this week I will be sharing some recommendations of fabric colors so that we can take out some of the guesswork.
Instead of using large-scale prints or complicated piecing, this design builds a plaid effect using simple strip piecing and carefully chosen fabrics.
That means:
- It’s faster than it looks
- It’s beginner-ish friendly (with some patience for accuracy)
- And it really lets your fabric choices shine
The strip piecing method helps everything come together quickly, and once your strips are made, the blocks go together in a very satisfying way.
Since this is a pattern re-release, things will look a little different than a typical release week. I have one sample to share (the cover quilt), and tomorrow I’ll be sharing a full breakdown of the fabrics and colors I used.
Later this week, I’ll also be revisiting the original Linda Quilt cover sample, another solids version that I made a few years ago, along with a mockup post filled with fabric ideas and combinations to help you get started.
The pattern is on sale all week — you can find it in the shop now!
