Pattern of the Week - The Ruby Quilt
If you are looking for a pattern that can be made with jelly roll strips, fat eighths, fat quarters, or scraps and that lends itself to well to a 🌈 you should definitely check out the Ruby Quilt Pattern.

There is a little bit of a why behind this pattern that I don't think that I shared when it was originally released. Lots of times fabric collections will have a wide range of fabrics that include very light, low volume-y type prints and darker prints and it can be difficult to find a background fabric that is distinct from both the light and dark. The Ruby Quilt was designed to have a square that separates the feature fabrics from the background fabric — that way I can use my light colored background and the light colored prints in the collection without anything getting lost.

Of course there are other ways to deal with this issue — for example using a colorful background fabric or omitting the lightest or darkest prints — but I like that this gives me a little more freedom.

I have lots of samples and some mockups that I made with the pattern release. I also did some YouTube videos about this pattern that are great if you are looking for a little extra help.

And of course new mockups! I do think this pattern is especially great for seasonal collections so I had to include a couple of those.

And of course this is a great scrap quilt for using up leftover jelly roll strips or binding pieces and it works well as a scrapbuster because you can pretty much thrown anything into this pattern!
