Meet the Kristen Quilt Pattern

Introducing the Kristen Quilt – a pattern that’s not only incredibly versatile but also perfect for showing off your favorite fabrics. Whether you’re using charm squares, layer cake squares, fat quarters, or even scraps, the Kristen Quilt is designed to make your fabric choices shine. In fact, it might just be the most fun scrapbuster I’ve ever made!

Originally created with charm squares and layer cakes in mind, the Kristen Quilt is an ideal addition to your quilting projects. I’ve been focusing on adding more charm- and layer-cake-friendly patterns to the shop, and this one does the job beautifully. And don’t worry if you have fat quarters lying around—this pattern works perfectly for those too. So go ahead, dive into your stash and find the perfect fabrics to bring this quilt to life!

With instructions for sizes ranging from baby to king (yay for options!), the Kristen Quilt is perfect for experienced beginners and beyond. One of my favorite things about this pattern is that it doesn’t require an absolute ton of background fabric. I often don’t have large amounts of a single fabric on hand, so the mix of background and accent fabrics makes this quilt approachable and fun to make.

Want to switch things up? The choice of accent fabric can completely transform the look of the quilt. Whether you go bold, dark, or playful, the Kristen Quilt will take on a fresh, unique vibe every time.

Later this week, I’ll be sharing more about the super happy cover quilt, a Halloween-themed Rifle Paper Co. version, and a dynamite scrap quilt (stay tuned for that one, I haven't finished it yet!). I can’t wait to show you all the different possibilities this pattern holds.

I agree about the ispy option, I have already started pulling fabrics for this exact purpose. But I am also really keen to see some more colour mock-ups, as choosing fabrics (well colour combinations anyway) is always a challenge for me.

This pattern would make the cutest I Spy baby/toddler quilt.
