Kona Color of the Year!
Every year I look forward to the "Color of the Year" announcements. This year I got to know the Kona COTY early since I made a quilt for the lookbook and I am a big fan!
Julep is so sweet and pretty. Even though it is definitely a color, it works pretty well as a neutral since it coordinates so well with other colors. I very thoroughly enjoyed putting together a bunch of Kona colors for this quilt and I love how it all turned out.
This post is going to be mostly photos since I took a bunch and then Robert Kaufman took a bunch, so I'm going to let the quilt speak for itself.
Here are the Kona colors I used in my quilt:

The quilting was done by my favorite long arm quilter, Heidi from Piece and Joy Quilting Co. The design is one of her own pantographs and it is my new favorite — I love all of the movement that it creates in the quilt.
