Five Years of Plaid-ish Quilts
Just a little over 5 years ago, I released the Plaid-ish Quilt tutorial on a whim. Since then, thousands of #plaidishquilt posts have shown up on instagram. The tutorial has been made by guilds. Gifted to charities. I have since released the Plaid-ish Quilt 2 and the Mini Plaid-ish Quilt tutorials.
To celebrate the anniversary, I kindly asked my children to help recreate this photo:
June 17, 2019
July 20, 2022
July 9, 2024
It's amazing how much my kids have changed during this time! In the first photo, they are 4, 9, and 11 years old and they are now 9, 14, and 16 years old. I need to make sure we recreate this photo at least one more time before my daughter heads off to college!
If you are looking for the Plaid-ish Quilt Tutorial, it is still available (for free!) by signing up for my email list. If you are already an email subscriber, I try to include the downloads in my newsletter every couple of months for anyone who missed it and I will make sure to include it this week!

This Plaidish quilt was a godsend during 2020 Covid. With “Stay At Home,” o sewed 2 Plaidish quilts with fabrics on hand, including some 5” charm packs. The sharing on Instagram provided social connections with quilters from all over 🌎

SO fun to see the kids grow over the years. Thank you again for the three tutorials. You know I enjoyed making every single one!

Well I had fun with those photos. Sort of a what it different game. Besides the kids. The wall has changed in the last photo. It is no longer a display wall but now has either a patio door or window. A little diffent angle for each photo so I see a little less on the room behind and the trees out the window. I told you I had fun! By the way you have an incorrect date on the first photo. 2009 is 15 years ago.
